Yield Guild Games (YGG) and Silicon Valley HQ (SVHQ) have launched a new collaboration aimed at upskilling Filipino talent for the evolving digital workforce through artificial intelligence (AI) integration.
The firms stated that the program focuses on integrating AI tools into work processes, enabling participants to enhance productivity while developing critical skills for the future of work.
During their session at the YGG Play Summit 2025, Trish Rosal of Yield Guild Games and Richard Peralta of Silicon Valley HQ said the integration is part of YGG’s wider push to prepare its community for the future of work through its Meta University learning platform.
The pilot will initially engage YGG scholars and community members, with plans to expand to over 30 locations across the Philippines. Certified participants will be positioned for AI-enabled remote roles, connecting Filipino talent with global employers while addressing the local skills gap in emerging digital industries.
They noted that said the program will serve as an extension of YGG’s training ecosystem, providing participants with access to AI tools, onboarding support, and opportunities for future employment with global companies.
“That’s why we really need to partner with them ’cause they will help us train our community members in using these tools. Because the jobs are there but the jobs will change to not those simple tasks but the humans need to operate the AI agents.”
Trish Rosal, Head of Operations and Head of Future of Work, YGG
YGG encouraged its members to watch for upcoming announcements on how to join the program.
The program provides training and certification in key AI platforms, including Go High Level for marketing and lead generation, and Deepgram for voice AI and customer service automation.
A demonstration shown by Christopher Peralta, CEO and Founder of SVHQ, featured voice AI technology used in call centers.
Under the initiative, AI handles repetitive tasks such as call management, appointment scheduling, lead prospecting, and content generation, allowing human workers to focus on higher-value activities that require creativity and critical thinking. These functions are expected to reduce workload and operational time while increasing productivity.
“Our mission for Silicon Valley HQ is to upskill 1 million Filipinos and we’re going to educate them with AI tools. So, there’s an advantage because AI needs creativity from us, from humans, and we give empathy also. We give critical thinking. So, the future of work isn’t about replacing humans, it’s about AI handling the repetitive 60%. So, humans can thrive in the remaining 40%.”
Richard Peralta, AI Operator, Silicon Valley HQ
YGG also noted that while entry-level tasks will shift, community members will be trained to operate and manage AI systems rather than perform routine work. The organizations emphasized that human oversight remains central to the model.
If the initial pilot delivers positive results, YGG and Silicon Valley HQ plan to expand the AI workforce program across multiple local government units (LGUs) nationwide.
Peralta said the rollout will begin with YGG scholars and community members, followed by wider deployment in provinces.
“We’re going to use these tools and expand to different LGUs from Cavite, Bataan, Pampanga, Palawan, all around the Philippines. We’ve got more than 30 pilots that we’re going to implement and YGG is one of them. It’s a very exciting time for AI integration and human innovation.”
Richard Peralta, AI Operator, Silicon Valley HQ
Rosal added that they aim to use insights from the first implementation to guide large-scale adoption across the Philippines.
