Vince Vaughn is an actor, writer, and producer starring in the new Hulu film Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice. He broke through with his iconic role in the 1996 cult classic Swingers, which launched his career in comedy. I think ultimately comedy is a big tent you can go real cerebral or you can be physical it doesn’t matter there’s nothing that prestigious or like a stamp of approval about it.

I think that happened with film comedies and that’s why I think stand up got stronger… the studios weren’t gonna produce a comedy and have more of be more responsible for supporting the making of that film.

People want authenticity… the talk shows to a large part became really agenda based… it stopped being funny and it started feeling like I was in fucking a class I didn’t wanna take.
