The battle royale shooter Off The Grid emerged as the undisputed winner at the GAM3 Awards 2025 after securing five major trophies including the coveted Game of the Year title during the live ceremony at the YGG Play Summit in Manila.

Held on November 21 at the Samsung Hall at SMX Convention Center, SM Aura, BGC, the event marked the culmination of the summit’s competitive and community activities. Presented in partnership with Yield Guild Games (YGG), the ceremony recognized excellence across 21 categories, awarding a record-breaking prize pool exceeding $7 million in grants, services, and resources.

Major Winners

Off The Grid, developed by Gunzilla Games, swept the technical and gameplay categories, winning Best Action Game, Best Shooter, Best Multiplayer Game, and Best Esports Game, in addition to the top honor.

Other notable winners included:

  • Best Mobile Game & Best Casual Game: Pudgy Party
  • Best Strategy Game: Parallel (whose US$100,000 tournament concluded at the summit earlier that day)
  • Best RPG: Maplestory Universe
  • Best Ecosystem: Ronin
  • People’s Choice: Sunflower Land
  • Best Content Creator: Cagy

The awards also highlighted upcoming titles, with Atia’s Legacy named Most Anticipated Game and Project O winning both Best Art Direction and Best Card Game.

Selection Process and Industry Backing

The winners were determined by a hybrid voting system. For most categories, a jury of over 80 industry leaders — including executives from Rockstar Games, Ubisoft, Sony, and Google — accounted for 90% of the vote, with community voting making up the remaining 10%.

Exceptions included the People’s Choice and Best Content Creator awards, which were decided entirely by community vote, and the Games’ Choice award, where shortlisted studios voted for their peers.

The event’s $7 million prize pool was supported by partners including OpenSea, Sui, Arbitrum, Aptos, and Amazon AWS, providing winners with cloud credits, marketing support, and infrastructure services to accelerate development.

Summit Context

The GAM3 Awards served as a capstone to the week-long YGG Play Summit, which also featured major esports tournaments for Parallel and Might & Magic: Fates, as well as infrastructure announcements from the Ronin Network and Coins.ph.
