Maya Crypto Lists 18 New Tokens, Including AAVE, ENS, and INJ

Maya, the local e-wallet giant that holds both digital bank and crypto exchange (VASP) licenses from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), has expanded its spot cryptocurrency buy-and-sell feature with the addition of 18 new tokens.

With this latest update, the Maya Crypto platform now offers users access to more than 50 different cryptocurrencies for direct in-app buy and sell.

Maya Crypto’s New Tokens

Here is a breakdown of the newly listed cryptocurrencies:

DeFi & Yield Protocols:

  • AAVE (Aave): The native utility token of Aave, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that allows users to lend and borrow cryptocurrencies.
  • PENDLE (Pendle): A DeFi protocol that allows users to tokenize and trade future yields from yield-bearing assets.
  • ONDO (Ondo Finance): A DeFi platform focused on creating tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) backed by US Treasuries and bank deposits.
  • LDO (Lido DAO): The governance token of Lido, a decentralized platform providing liquid staking solutions for Ethereum and other proof-of-stake chains.
  • ENA (Ethena): The native governance token of the Ethena protocol, a DeFi platform supporting the synthetic dollar USDe on Ethereum.

Blockchain Ecosystems & Layer 2s:

  • APT (Aptos): The ecosystem token of the major Layer-1 blockchain Aptos.
  • TIA (Celestia): The ecosystem token of Celestia, a modular blockchain network that allows anyone to easily deploy their own blockchain with minimal overhead.
  • ICP (Internet Computer): The ecosystem token of the Internet Computer Protocol, a blockchain-based decentralized network.
  • STRK (Starknet): The native utility and governance token of Starknet, a Layer-2 Ethereum scaling solution using zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup technology.

AI & Computing:

  • RENDER (Render Network): A decentralized platform that connects creators with idle GPU power for 3D rendering and AI tasks.
  • FET (Fetch.ai): A platform leveraging AI and blockchain technology to automate tasks and optimize processes.

Utility & Infrastructure:

  • ENS (Ethereum Name Service): A decentralized naming system that replaces long, complex wallet addresses with human-readable names (e.g., name.eth).
  • IMX (Immutable X): A Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum designed specifically for gaming and NFTs.
  • PYTH (Pyth Network): A decentralized oracle that delivers real-time financial market data to blockchain applications.
  • BAT (Basic Attention Token): The native utility token of the Brave browser, designed to improve the efficiency of digital advertising.
  • ZRX (0x): The native governance and utility token of the Ethereum-based 0x protocol.
  • KNC (Kyber Network): A utility and governance token associated with the decentralized exchange Kyber Network.

Other Tokens Available on Maya Crypto

Launched in 2023, Maya Crypto initially offered 24 tokens before gradually expanding its roster. Alongside the 18 new additions, users can also trade:

  • Major Assets: BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, ADA, DOT, AVAX, LINK, ATOM, ALGO, XRP
  • Stablecoins & Ecosystems: USDC, USDT, MATIC (now POL), CRO, PAXG, BNB
  • Niche & Utility: FIL, APE, QNT, UNI, SAND, XLM, AXS, MANA, SUI, NEAR, OP
  • Meme Tokens: DOGE, SHIB, WIF, BONK, PEPE

How to Trade Crypto in Maya Crypto?

For beginners looking to utilize the newly listed assets, here is a quick guide on how to buy and sell using the app:

Step 1: Open the Maya app and log in.

Step 2: Tap the “Crypto” icon on the dashboard.

Step 3: Move funds from your main Maya wallet to your Maya Crypto wallet.

Step 4: Choose the specific cryptocurrency you wish to buy or sell.

Step 5: Enter the amount (in PHP or Crypto) to be traded.

Step 6: Review the conversion rate and confirm the transaction.
