5:00 am: Bitcoin Falls Below $113K, Ethereum Under $3,500 as $368M in Liquidations Hit Market

Bitcoin fell to $112,613 while Ethereum dropped to $3,404 in the past 24 hours, triggering $368.17 million in total crypto liquidations, data from CoinGlass showed.

• The largest single liquidation was a $2.58 million SOLUSDT position on Binance. ETH accounted for the most liquidations at $116 million, followed by BTC at $54 million and XRP at $38.5 million.
• A total of 114,188 traders were liquidated, with 84% of losses hitting long positions.

Analysts said the breakdown below key support levels –$118,859 for BTC and $3,500 for ETH — triggered the move.

Broader macro concerns, including U.S. tariffs and Fed rate uncertainty, continue to pressure high-beta crypto assets. Despite the drop, technical indicators such as RSI and EMA still show longer-term bullish bias, though momentum appears to be fading.

• Hayes warned that no major economy is creating credit fast enough to sustain nominal GDP growth, and forecasted a market correction that could see Bitcoin test $100,000 and Ethereum fall to $3,000.

According to on-chain data from Lookonchain, Hayes recently sold significant portions of his crypto holdings: 2,373 ETH ($8.32 million) 7.76 million ENA ($4.62 million), and 3.886 billion PEPE (~$414,700) over the past six hours.
