A wallet tied to SpaceX, Elon Musk’s space exploration company, moved more than 1,300 Bitcoin (BTC) worth approximately $153 million to a new address on Tuesday, Arkham Intelligence data shows. It’s the first on-chain activity from the wallet in three years.
SpaceX-labeled wallet still holds over 6,900 BTC, valued at around $810 million at current market prices.
While the motive behind the move is unknown, it’s possible the wallet owner is reorganizing its storage infrastructure rather than preparing for a liquidation.
As of mid-2025, Tesla and SpaceX held around $2 billion in Bitcoin, Arkham previously reported. Tesla currently holds approximately 11,509 BTC, as per the company’s Q1 earnings report.
The companies acquired their Bitcoin at an average price near $32,000 per unit, and have held these positions long-term, currently sitting on unrealized profits close to $1.5 billion.
