Almirol has been vocal about his position on how the national blockchain project should be built. In a message previously sent to BitPinas, he stated: “My stand is very simple: to make sure we’re implementing a real blockchain, not just a concept nor a reinvented idea.”

He also expressed his willingness to face the public directly. “I am willing to face the public for an overall public inquiry to shed light on the current opposing insights on government blockchain,” Almirol told BitPinas.

The episode will cover the ongoing debate around the government’s blockchain architecture, including questions on government-owned nodes versus public blockchain, data ownership, and what genuine blockchain implementation should look like at the national level.

The BitPinas Webcast goes live on March 25 at 8:00 PM on the BitPinas Facebook page.
