Vienna-based crypto asset platform Bitpanda has launched its services in the UK market, offering British investors access to more than 600 crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, and other tokens, the companies announced on Thursday.

The platform serves over 7 million users in Europe and is licensed in multiple jurisdictions outside the UK, offering institutional-grade infrastructure along with curated crypto indices, market analysis, and investor education. It recently obtained its third Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) license from Austria’s Financial Market Authority after securing earlier approvals in Germany and Malta

Commenting on the launch, Bitpanda’s co-founder and CEO, Eric Demuth, said the UK’s combination of financial expertise, technological engagement, and rising interest in crypto positions it as a key growth market.

“We believe the UK will grow to be one of our largest markets for us in the next 2 years, and our goal is simple: to be the best, most secure, and most complete way to invest in crypto assets in the UK,” Demuth said in a statement.

The company has appointed Pantelis Kotopoulos as UK Country Director to lead regional operations.

“UK investors deserve a platform that matches their ambition, and at Bitpanda, we’ve built a platform that does exactly that. We’re here to offer a real alternative – with more assets, a better and more intuitive user experience, and zero tolerance for shortcuts,” said Kotopoulos.

Bitpanda is also introducing its B2B infrastructure arm, Bitpanda Technology Solutions (BTS), to the UK market. BTS provides white-label integration services to banks, fintechs, and crypto asset platforms, with existing partnerships including Deutsche Bank, Société Générale, Raiffeisen, and LBBW.

Aside from the launch, Bitpanda also announced a multi-year partnership with Arsenal Football Club as their Official Crypto Trading Partner. The collaboration aims to enhance digital asset education and understanding among supporters and investors.
