Earlier this year, my local grocery store started charging $3 per avocado. Yet even as tariffs and inflation wreak havoc on consumer tech, one product category seems to be immune: Flat-screen TVs.
A few years ago, I’d get excited to find a good 65-inch TV for under $500 during Black Friday, but now you can find massive TVs for a lot less year-round. As companies get better at making super-thin displays, smart TVs keep getting more affordable. Yet even by those standards, this Best Buy doorbuster TV deal caught my attention.

While it’s in stock, you can buy the TCL 55-inch F35 Series 4K UHD HDR LED Smart Fire TV for just $169.99, a nearly 50 percent discount from its retail price of $329.99. You won’t find this TV for sale at Amazon, making this a Best Buy exclusive as far as I can tell. This is one of Best Buy’s official doorbuster TV deals, and if you need a new TV at a price you can afford, this one’s going to be hard to beat.
We’ve been closely tracking the best Black Friday TV deals, from the $99.99 Amazon Fire TV 2-Series to the premium LG C5 OLED TV. (Sadly, we’re still waiting on the latter to get a price drop for Black Friday.) As I said, you won’t find a better price on a 55-inch TV ahead of the holidays.

Now, let’s be clear about what you’re getting. This is definitely a budget TV, so you’ll have to live without QLED or Mini LED displays. You’ll also have to compromise a little on audio quality (unless you invest in a soundbar to go with it). Gamers will also have to settle for a 60Hz refresh rate. However, besides those tradeoffs, you’re still getting a solid smart TV.
This is a 2025 model TV that comes with the Fire TV OS. That means it’s a smart TV that’s fully capable of running all your favorite streaming apps, from Amazon to HBO Max.
