The Hobbit’s pricier Gift Bundle has finally taken a big price drop away from its original $200 mark, with Amazon marketplace sellers bringing the trading card game’s Middle-earth collection much closer to $150.
As of Sept. 8, the Magic: The Gathering The Hobbit Gift Bundle can be picked up on Amazon for $158 from third-party seller Scouts Store. Against Amazon’s $199.99 typical price, that works out to $41.99 off, or roughly 21 percent.
Alternatively, if you want slightly faster delivery, there’s also Amazon’s own $163.60 listing, which is sold and shipped directly by the retailer itself.
There’s quite a bit packed into this titular gift bundle. You’re getting nine 14-card Play Boosters alongside one 15-card Collector Booster, with the latter containing five cards of Rare rarity or higher and a chance at a Headliner Mythic. Altogether, that gives you 10 sealed Hobbit boosters to crack before counting the extras.
Those extras include an alternate-art Traditional Foil promo, four Surge Foil full-art Seasonal Hobbit lands, 10 full-art Middle-earth Journey lands split between foil and non-foil versions, another 20 basic lands, an oversized Spindown life counter, and a foil storage box.
It is worth checking elsewhere before buying, though. Walmart currently lists the same Gift Bundle for $130.98, while TCGplayer’s listings are going as low as $121.88 — which is only 18 cents above its $121.70 market price.
